Lonesource Sponsors Hoops for Hope, Raises Money for Cancer Research
CARY, N.C. – Feb. 7, 2011 – Lonesource, a company that helps businesses quickly and easily obtain the everyday products and supplies they rely on to do business, partnered with Grace Christian School to help raise $4,500 for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund by sponsoring the third annual Hoops for Hope event.
Hoops for Hope is a breast cancer awareness event at Grace Christian School that coincides with the Hoops 4 Hope celebration at North Carolina State University. Each event raises cancer awareness and money for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, an organization committed to supporting the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, helping patients obtain the care and support they need and unifying people for a common cause.

Grace Christian School is a local Lonesource customer. Its Hoops for Hope event centered around three basketball games and other celebrations such as face painting and a silent auction. Cancer survivors were recognized during halftime of the boy’s basketball game and many students played the game in honor of a cancer survivor or in memory of an individual who lost their life to cancer.
Lonesource is also involved in local communities with its Kingdom Kids organization, improving the quality of life for children facing challenging circumstances such as cancer, blood disorders, neglect and abuse. Kingdom Kids has raised more than $140,000 in the last year and a half, with every dollar donated to Kingdom Kids going directly to the cause for which it was intended.
